Sugar Wharf Condominiums presented by Menkes, situated just to the east of Yonge Street and just north of the waterfront, the complex is designed by architectsAlliance. It is going to redevelop the 11.5-acre LCBO lands in Toronto's 'Lower Yonge Precinct' by the harbour. The coming 6 towers will be known as Sugar Wharf, reflecting its location across Queen's Quay from the Redpath sugar refinery and proximity to popular Sugar Beach.
Phase 1 - 2 residential towers at 95 Lake Shore Blvd are proposed to rise on the northeast quadrant of the LCBO Lands on Queens Quay Boulevard East in Toronto's Lower Yonge Precinct Area. The Menkes development will include a new 25-storey LCBO headquarters office tower to the south, a park to the southwest with a low-rise retail building along its north side.
Phase 2 - Three residential towers proposed to rise from a retail podium, also housing a public school. Some of the existing heritage LCBO headquarters buildings on the site are to be preserved and integrated into the redevelopment.
The complex will be tied together through an extension to Toronto's PATH system. It is only few steps from Sugar Wharf to the St. Lawrence Market, Sugar Beach, Sherbourne Common Park, Loblaws grocery store, George Brown College and countless shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and entertainment destinations. For transportation, it is a walking distance to Union Station, Toronto’s transit hub with access to the TTC subway, GO Transit, Via Rail, and the UP Express to Pearson International Airport.
